How do I become a mortgage broker?

What steps are needed? Are there classes I should take? All answers and suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Answer:
Check with your local agencies to see the state requirements. Here in Arizona, it is required to have 3 years experience before you can complete the school and exam. Then you have to complete the background checks and put up a bond, obtain a license and start originating.

In most states you do not need your own license, you work under the license of the broker you work for.

As long as you can do math, use a financial calculator and most importantly, sell, you can be a mortgage broker.
