Answer:
YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO IF YOUR OVER THERE FIGHTING A WAR.
Yes. Also check with Guard people in your state to see if they have other options. In my state we have something called the Veteran's Home Loan Board and they offer loans at better rates than the VA. The paperwork can be a bit much but the savings can make it worth it.
Yes, as long as you serve your time satisfactorily and with honors. You should also be a full-time soldier verses a reservist.
it dose not matter if you go over or not you can still use the va lones
Yeah, any benefits that active duty has, the National Guard has. If you want to kick some terrorist @ss, why not go Active? Your going to get shipped out either way.
Sweet MP is a fun job in the national guard. What i love about it is when you arent actually fighting a war, you work for your state governor. i have been callled up for hurricane duty and blizzard duty. its lots of fun to drive a humvee with police lights on the roof through a raging blizzard! Watch for MP units that are deploying from all states. you can volunteer with another state to go. My year over there was as a prison guard. kinda boring, but i love free travel to places nobody has ever heard of! yes, you do qualify for the VA. But it is not a loan, but the VA acts as a cosigner, allowing you to buy a house with no money down, lower rates, forclosure protection, and they will help you get a good price.
Yes! My husband is reserves and we got a VA loan for our home almost 2 years ago. I'm pretty sure the same applies to National Guard. BTW, Thanks for serving our country! They do have regulations for home ownership depending on city zoning rules. If you don't fix what problems may be wrong or what they say needs done before moving in they will not allow you to move in until the needs and demands are met. GOOD LUCK!
