How Do I check The status On My Federal Loan Application?

I have applied for a Federal Direct Loan trough my school, Baruch College. I am a freshman.

I spoke to Financial Aid asking them how to check on the status of that application, but they weren't very helpful. How can I find out if a loan has been granted? Thanks!

You are probably already approved for the loan if you applied for it. If I remember the website correctly for federal Direct Loans it is dlservicer.ed.gov and you should be able to sign on there to see your loan status.
Call your financial aid office and ask if the loan has been certified. If it has, then you should expect a disbursement to the school from the Department of Education.

Hope this helps!
